History of the Foundation
Since its beginning in 1938, the Hoor River Lions Club has contributed more than 500 thousand dollars and countless hours to the needs of the community.
Beginning in June 1985, the Hood River Lions Foundation Trust was formed starting with a $ 1000 endowment from the Hood River Lions Club. The Trust Fund now exceeds 2 million dollars with grants given yearly, as funds become available, to worthy causes in Hood River County. To date, over 1 million dollars in grants have been made to help serve the needs of our community.
